I don’t know how seriously to take this, but 57 House ”progressives” claim they won’t vote for a bill that includes the alleged concessions made to the Blue Dogs:
This agreement will result in the public, both as insurance purchasers and as taxpayers, paying ever higher rates to insurance companies … We simply cannot vote for such a proposal.
Heaven forfend. We can’t have people paying money for health insurance. That’ll reduce the amount of cash the Dems can steal from you and your employer to pay for their $1.6 trillion boondoggle.
And, speaking of insurance companies, Nancy Pelosi evidently skipped her meds again. She had a meltdown in which she quite literally vilified the entire health insurance industry:
They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening.
This actually gives me some hope. If Pelosi is this angry and paranoid, it probably means she sees government-run health care slipping away, despite her party’s solid majority.
